His spring football success caught the attention of the Green Bay Packers as he was signed in the summer of 2023 and has mainly spent the past two seasons on the Packers’ practice squad. 2023 After replacing an injured J’Mar Smith in the 2022 USFL Championship Game, McGough exploded onto the scene in 2023 and took home league MVP honors and back-to-back championships for Birmingham. Finished his incredible regular season with 2,105 passing yards, 20 touchdowns and five interceptions. Completed 180-of-267 passes in 10 games, and rushed for 403 yards and five touchdowns. Much of the same continued in the postseason, as the Stallions’ signal-caller threw for 553 yards, completed 39-of-56 passes and tossed eight touchdown passes while not surrendering a single interception. Continued his dual-threat capabilities in both of the Stallions’ postseason games last year, picking up 148 yards rushing and a touchdown. 2022 Made stops in Jacksonville, Houston and then back to Seattle before originally signing with the Stallions after being drafted with the sixth overall pick in the 2022 USFL Draft. Completed 39-of-75 passes as a rookie for 460 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. Made a brief postseason appearance in the USFL Championship Game, completing 7-of-10 passes for 77 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Added three rushing touchdowns in regular season play, ended the regular season with 131 rushing yards. During his college years at FIU (2014-2017), he threw for 9,084 total yards, 65 passing touchdowns, 518 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns in his career.
