I must be stupid or something

Sorry,but I still cannot take any of my bye-week players,stick them in the bye- week position and the pick up anoyher player from waivers. I put the players in the bye-week position but when I go to waivers to pick a replacement,it wants me to drop the position player in the bye-week position. I looked back on your instructins and the first thing your suppose to do is put the player on the bye-week to the bench and then to the bye-week position,but there is no empty bench spots to put him in.
